Mr. TakChio Cheong is a highly accomplished practitioner and researcher in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). He holds multiple prestigious positions, including President of the International TCM Cancer Research & Cure Alliance, member of the Liver Disease Committee of the World Traditional Chinese Medicine Federation, and Director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Development Department at the New York State Licensed Acupuncturist Association. Additionally, he serves as the President of the Hubei Association of Chinese in America and holds a master's degree in acupuncture from Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Coming from a family with a strong background in traditional Chinese medicine, Cheong received early education and training in the field. His father, Sinan Zhang, was a highly influential figure and the inventor of the first generation of acupuncture-induced electrotherapy devices in China. Growing up in such an environment, Cheong developed a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese medicine and its healing potential.

Throughout his career, Cheong has sought to expand his knowledge and skills by learning from esteemed acupuncture and herbal medicine experts. He had the privilege of training under the guidance of renowned practitioners such as Professor Guojie Sun, the chief editor of national acupuncture textbooks, and Professor Zhenhua Wang. Furthermore, he actively engaged in discussions and exchanges with experts from various fields, including European and Brazilian herbal doctors, in order to broaden his understanding of traditional medicine.

Cheong's expertise in traditional Chinese medicine has taken him to various countries, including China’s mainland, Macau, Brazil, and the United States. He has gained a reputation for his remarkable success in treating complex diseases, particularly in the areas of cancer, infertility, hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, chronic cough, and diabetes. His treatment approach combines acupuncture techniques with herbal preparations, and he has pioneered innovative therapies such as the "Five Color Bean Pressing on Five Shu Points" therapy.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cheong played a vital role in supporting patients. He harnessed the power of traditional Chinese medicine to assist thousands of COVID-19 patients in the United States before vaccines were widely available. His efforts were recognized by the Consulate General of China in New York, and he received extensive media coverage for his contributions.

Cheong has been frequently invited to give lectures on traditional Chinese medicine and actively participates in various free clinics organized by Sinovision, The China Press, New York health insurance companies, and Chinese community organizations.
